I have a dream
"I have a dream" speech was a monumental time in America's history. Dr. Martin Luther King was the face of the African American race and he played such an important role in helping to end segregation in America. During his speech he mentioned something about the police brutality and how bad it was. It is definitely not like how it used to be but to my astonishment, police still target and stereotype black people for things and act in a more aggressive way towards them. Anyways, a question posed by Alex stated: What does this speech have to do with possibility? This speech is all about possibility. Dr. Martin Luther King thought it was possible to go up in front of that huge crowd and deliver to them what he believed was the right thing that America needed to do. In his eyes, it was possible for the black and white people to come together in a closer and professional way. What I got from that speech is that if I believe something is possible, it can happen.
